Last updated: June 10, 2026. PageSnag is a Chrome extension for capturing full-page screenshots.
The default design goal is straightforward: screenshots stay on the device unless the user explicitly chooses a network action.
Overview
PageSnag does not collect, transmit, or store personal data on developer-controlled servers as part of its standard screenshot workflow.
What we do not do
Collect personal information such as name, email address, or browsing history
Run analytics, telemetry, or tracking scripts
Sell or share screenshot data with third parties
Require an account before the extension can be used

Screenshot data
Screenshots are processed and stored locally in the browser. Users can delete individual captures, clear history, or remove the extension entirely to remove locally stored data.
Optional AI features
AI features are disabled by default. If a user chooses to enable them, they provide their own Gemini API key and screenshot content is only sent when an AI action is explicitly triggered by the user.
PageSnag does not intercept, log, or store the screenshot data that is sent to Gemini. Google's policies apply to data sent directly to the Gemini API.
Third-party services
The standard extension workflow does not rely on third-party services except when a user explicitly chooses one.
Google Gemini API for optional AI actions, with a user-provided key
